BACK THEN
Clueless as to what the future held for them, Laureny and Nelson stared as the place they had called home for the last decade crumbled into the furious flames of the fire. The fire brigade was desperately trying to put it out but their water was as a quenching wave that gave the fire respite and enhanced desire to go again. It seemed their best bet was to try and contain the fire so it would not spread and wait for it to burn till there was nothing left of Nelson and Laureny's combustible belongings.
"My good Lord," Laureny cried with tears in her eyes which reflected the fire from whence came the destruction before them.
Nelson stood next to her, forced to grow up by this turn of events. He wondered where they would live next, the shop being their likely next destination. What they would wear, eat and other such questions he did not have ready answers to.
