Marcus was back again at the small outdoor diner with his fingers crossed hoping history would once again repeat itself. He hoped that the mysterious seemingly wealthy and successful man would turn up. This time the setting was different. Sitting next to him was Claudia. Her hand was fastened into his giving him some assurance that even if it turned out he was unwanted elsewhere, he had her. He also had his girls and his developing son.
"Are you alright baby?"
Marcus shifted slightly in his seat. He had told himself over and over when he left the house that he was ready for what was coming next, whatever would come next. But truth be told, the moment of realization was never and will probably never be anyone's friend. Sweat is always bound to come out when uncertainty enshrouds a situation.
"Yeah I am," he responded, his shaky voice.
