Chapter 4 - Chapter 3

"He was rude, What did I do to deserve that, he almost looked like he was going to kill me" She thought

She never expected to meet someone like that, His eyes felt like blades which pricked her skin with nothing but a simple glance of his

She moved further into the room noticing how big it was, she wondered how long those men were supposed to stay here, the sight of a pouch of coins soon caught her eyes, she had never seen that amount before, only nobles or barons could have that amount around here

Most would treat you like a king with that, who were the people she thought?,

"I owe this men, my life, I need to return the favor" she said in her mind, she Swiftly picked up the pouch rushing out of the room to try and locate the men

...

The sound of metal hitting metal echoed through the air, as swords collided with each other and blood spilling down on the concrete floor, with ever swing Aiden took it claimed a life of the nearby soldiers

"They found us quicker than I expected" Rodrick said

"Then we just slaughter them and keep running"Aiden quickly replied to his comment

"As heartless as ever aren't you Aiden"

Both sprinted forward with speed swinging their blades down in a slashing motion cutting through flesh of their enemies, the pool of blood around them looked like a scene from hell with the smell  spreading through the air , most bystanders had already  flee the area with the Remaining soldiers still in disbelief from what they had seen only two men did this

"Impossible, impossible, you people are demons" one of the soldiers said

"Then I truly do not mind, as long as I get paid and can have this much fun" Rodrick soon beheaded the man with a quick spin of his sword, most of his comrades that witness this sight began scurrying away in all directions trying to escape this inhumane men,  they couldn't believe their eyes, a whole squad of 20 soldier died before their eyes by the hands of the numbers of two, with their commander dead, they only had one option, run.

With the soldier cowering away in all directions, Aiden and Rodrick just sat down on the ground panting heavily out of exhaustion.

"That was a close one, if they attacked again our chances would have been slim, nice work with that display of dominance, if not for that, those men might have kept on attacking" Aiden said

"I Know, killing the commander was just the last push we needed to win this"Rodrick said with a slight chuckle escaping his lips, his personality would surprise many, his facial features made him look like one which was serious, his right cheek having two long crossed scars with his hand always holding the hilt of his blade telling those around, this man is always ready to kill.

"So what about the others, Do you have any idea of where they might be"Aiden stood up from the blood filled ground noticing the incoming lights coming from far within the mountain, quickly forgetting the question he asked, he soon took a few steps forward hoping to get an idea of what they were looking at.

"Yea, last time I saw them, they were heading to the west of the town, I am sure they are already out of town by ow, the ruckus we made Should have reached the ears of all the guards around, I am sure they already heading this way"

Aiden didn't pay attention to his explanation, his blue irises were focused on the illuminating Light, 'Are those torches?' He thought, "No they are-" Before he could finish his sentence, large balls of fire began raining down from the mountains, Slamming into Buildings setting fire on the nearby Denizens and shops.

"

the sound of screams echoing through the night sky ran through Aiden ears, yet he did not feel fear or the slightest bit of hesitation.

without even need to think, his mind was still confused about the situation but his body was not, sensing the approaching danger, his legs moved in instant which most would believe was superhuman.

Rodrick looked to his side hoping to ask Aiden what to do next but to his surprised he had already left, he looked into the distance behind him noticing the distance that Aiden had gained from him.

"How could you leave me like that I could have died" He shouted but Aiden didn't seemed to care, his goal was set on running, he knew when he was outmatched, he didn't care about the deaths of this people, this was common in war, it wasn't a rare sight to see in his everyday life, the smell of blood and burnt flesh didn't disturb him.

He and Rodrick continued running through the Burning town, watching the vibrant beautiful town they lived in not long ago turning into ashes.

"What made them so desperate, destroying the whole town like this, I don't understand the actions they displayed today, this is that of a mad man"Rodrick said

Aiden was left confused as well, Why burn down the whole village, it didn't make sense, they were dragging innocent's into this.

Something caught his attention, the same woman which he met before, she was running in the opposite direction as them, she was heading deeper into the town where the flames were more, But why? Aiden thought, both of their eyes met for a split moment, the woman kept running but Aiden came to a quick stop as he glanced into her direction.

"Let follow her, that look in her eyes, told me something ," Aiden said, his eyes still looking into her direction.

"I Know your insane but come on, even you aren't willing to die for a random woman" Rodrick tried to convince him but as he expected Aiden didn't listen, He sprinted forward following the woman.

Rodrick followed reluctantly, he loved excitement and the thrill of battle but he wasn't ready to sacrifice his life for this.

'Now both of our lives rest in this useless hunch of his from looking into some random ladies eyes, Aiden your truly mad sometimes'

Rodrick thought
