In the middle of an empty street, a boy and a girl was standing face to face.

The boy has black hair and can be considered a little handsome. His school uniform was slightly unbuttoned and his necktie are loosened. He is what some people refer to as a delinquent.

The boy's name is Nikaido Izumi.

Standing there, Izumi smiles at the girl standing in front of him.

The girl's name is Tachibana Mitsumi. She has a blonde hair. But it wasn't a natural hair color. She dyed her hair that way. Her hair is long, it's length reaching just a little above her waist. But she did her hairstyle in a side tail. She is what people refer to as a gyaru.

Mitsumi was standing there, glaring at Izumi, then asked. "What are you doing?"

"I'm waiting for you. It's dangerous for a girl to walk alone, right?" Izumi answered.

"I think it's more dangerous for me to walk with you, though." Mitsumi immediately replied.

"Hahaha, whatever should I do with you~" Izumi said teasingly.

"Get out of the way. My friends are still waiting for me." Mitsumi said that, then passed through Izumi.

"Wait wait wait! Atleast let me walk with yo-" Before Izumi could finish talking, Mitsumi kicked his face. However, Izumi quickly dodged her.

"Woah! Calm down, Mitsumi-chan!" Izumi said, but he's still smiling.

Mitsumi only glared at him and immediately ran away.

Meanwhile, Izumi was looking at her back, then he sighed.

(Why does Mitsumi always treat me like that? Haa...)

Meanwhile, Mitsumi arrived on the meeting spot and found her friends.

"You're late, Mitsumi~" One of ther friends, Aoyama Shio, called out. Shio has a red short hair. And she has a petite physique.

"Sorry, It's because of some weirdo blocking my way." Mitsumi said, exasperated.

"Oh! Don't tell me that it's Izumi again!?" Her other friend, Katsura Kana, asked excitedly. Kana has a a rather mature body and a slightly long black hair.

"Yup, that annoying guy keeps pestering me everyday, you know!" Mitsumi complained.

"Why don't you two just go out already, then? Isn't it obvious that he likes you?" Shio suggested.

"Wah-! Don't say stuff like that! Like hell I'll go out with him!" Mitsumi protested.

(Why would I go out with that guy? Hmph!) Mitsumi thought, but a faint blush appeared on her face.

"Alright, alright. Let's go, then. Where do you guys want to go first?" Changing the topic, Kana asked.

"I wanna eat a sundae!" Mitsumi protested as she hugged Kana.

"S-stop, Mitsumi! There's people here, it's embarrassing!" Kana complain.

"Fufufu" meanwhile, Shio giggled seeing them like this.

After a little more of chatting, they started hanging out.

The three of them have been best friends since their first year of middle school. And now that they are at 2nd year of highschool, they still often hangout with each other.

At a certain restaurant-

"Hey~ Mitsumi, do you have someone you like?" Shio asked as she holds the spoon on her sundae.

"N-nope. I don't have any interest on anyone right now." Mitsumi stuttered as the starts eating her sundae.

"You're the only one who doesn't have a boyfriend out of us three, y'know. So when will you get one?" Kana, who is seating beside Mitsumi, asked as she poke her index finger on Mitsumi's cheeks.

"Is there any need to rush these kind of things? Why are you so desperate to have boyfriends anyway?" Mitsumi asked as she grabbed Kana's finger that has been poking her face.

(I don't really know what benefits you can get when having that kind of relationship.) Mitsumi thought to herself, her inner expression is that of a confusion. But when an image of Izumi appeared on her mind, she immediately turned a little red, but no one saw it.

"You won't know that kind of thing unless you experienced it yourself, y'know." Shio said, looking at Mitsumi.

"Yup, I agree with Shio. Having a boyfriend is nice. But you should pick a good person, or else, you will regret it. Or something like that." Kana added as she began petting Mitsumi's head.

"Not having a boyfriend doesn't make me a kid, so stop petting my head already~!" Mitsumi said in a cute voice as she grabbed Kana's hand and moved it away from her.

After that, the three of them chatted for a while. They then went shopping to the mall, visited the park and did other things too.

It was already night. Mitsumi and the others were walking on their way home.

"Ah-!" Mitsumi shouted as the tripped on the ground. However, before she could fall, Kana grabbed her.

"Hey! Are you alright, Mitsumi?" Kana asked as she supported Mitsumi, her face had a worried expression.

"Yeah, I'm fine. It's just that I strained my ankle." Mitsumi replied with a faint smile, she was looking at her feet.

"Are you sure you could walk alone in that condition, Mitsumi? Why don't we walk with you?" Shio asked, she was also worried.

Their houses are not close with one another, and the street where they will go separately is already near them.

"No, it's alright. It's just a strained ankle." Mitsumi reassured her friends with a faint smile.

"Okay then, but you have to stay safe." Kana said to her, still looking worried.

"Yup, I know." Mitsumi replied while smiling at Kana.

After walking for several minutes, the three got their separate ways.

Now, in the middle of an empty street, Mitsumi is walking alone.

As she walked for a while, she saw five figures ahead of her.

As she got closer, the figures came into view. They were five thugs, and from the looks of it, they were drunk.

"Hey~ bro, there's a chick over there~ wanna have fun with her?" One of the drunk thugs said.

"Haha~ it's our lucky day!" The other thug replied, his expression was happy as he watch Mitsumi with his eyes filled with lust.

Mitsumi glared at the thugs, and thought of running away. But her ankle was sprained, so she can't do it.

Then, the thugs suddenly ran towards her. Mitsumi punched one of the thugs in the face, making him squeal in pain.

"Ow! That hurts you b*tch!" The thug shouted with anger, his face red.

As Mitsumi tried to fight back, one of the thugs grabbed her hand. And the others also followed.

She tried resisting, but she couldn't break free. If her ankle wasn't sprained, she could atleast fight back or run away. But it's different now.

"L-let go of me! You creeps!" Mitsumi protested, but to no avail.

Her eyes started tearing up. She didn't know what she should do. All she could think about was-

(Save me... anyone... save me... Izumi...)

A few hour back-

After Mitsumi left him, Izumi began standing in a daze in the middle of the street.

(Hmm, I guess I'll go to the arcade.)

After a while, he decided to go in the arcade. 

It is an old arcade, but the appearance of it didn't look dirty. Anyone could tell that it is being cleaned often.

This arcade is one of Izumi's favorite places, where he could relax and play whenever he want. It's also because the arcade is near his house, so he's been going in here since he was a kid.

Izumi played for hours, he lost track of time. When he realized this, he decided to go home.

After walking alone on the street, Izumi's eyes widened. He saw Mitsumi getting assaulted by some thugs.

Seeing this, Izumi immediately ran towards Mitsumi. After arriving, he kicked one of the thugs stomach with all his might.

"Guhh!" The thug said with a painful expression.

Not being bothered by it, Izumi then punched the other thugs jaw a couple of times. He then kicked the other one's testicles and slammed the other thug's head on the street.

Afterwards, he turned into the last thug and tackled him. He then body slammed the thug to the floor.

Due to them being drunk, the thugs passed out immediately.

Meanwhile, Mitsumi was sitting on the ground, her body was shivering. Her clothes are also tattered. Although her body wasn't touched, she was still scared by what happened.

Seeing this, Izumi took off the blazer of his uniform and placed it on top of Mitsumi.

"Are you alright? Why didn't you fight back?" Izumi asked her worriedly while putting his blazer on top of her body. He was worried of what will happen to her if he didn't come on time.

There was silent, then suddenly, Mitsumi jumped towards Izumi and instantly started to hug him. Izumi was surprised by her sudden actions.

"...I was so scared! My ankle were strained so I couldn't fight back! Why didn't you save me more early. I was waiting for you!" Tears began flowing from Mitsumi's eyes. She started crying. This is the first time that something like that happened to her, so it couldn't be helped.

"It's alright. I'm here now. I'll protect you." Seeing her like this, Izumi couldn't help but feel sad, imagining what Mitsumi must have gone through. So he hugged her back and began petting her head.

After a few minutes, Asahi suggested-

"Wanna go to the arcade? Let's have some fun in there." Izumi thought that this incident will cause a trauma to Mitsumi, so he suggested to go to the arcade. He wants to cover Mitsumi's bad memories with fun memories.

"...alright." After a slight pause, Mitsumi answered. But she then grabbed Izumi's hand, not letting him go.

Izumi just smiled after seeing that.

Afterwards, they played to the arcade. After a few hours of playing, they got out.

"Hwaaaa~! That was fun!" Mitsumi said as she stretched her body. The look on her face was very happy. It's as if the incident earlier didn't happen.

"I'm glad you had fun." Izumi said with a gentle smile as he watch Mitsumi.

Now, in an empty street, the two of them are walking.

Then, Izumi stopped.

"Hey, Mitsumi. Can I ask you something?" Izumi suddenly said.

"Hm? What is it?" Mitsumi asked, she was surprised by Izumi's sudden question.

"Mitsumi, I love you! Will you go out with me?" Asahi confessed as he bowed his head towards Mitsumi.

Mitsumi's eyes widened after hearing him.

"W-why? Why would you love someone like me?" Mitsumi asked nervously.

"I know you're working hard. You have high grades in school, but other people gossips on how unfair it is that a gyaru like you have high grades. But they don't know how hard you worked just to get those high grades! I once saw you studying in the school library late. I also saw you in similar situations. And as I keep seeing you, I eventually fell in love. So please, go out with me!" Asahi said, his voice was filled with passion, showing just how much he loves her.

Mitsumi's face reddened after hearing his confession, she didn't know what to do. Because she secretly like Izumi too.

(W-w-w-what should I do~!?)

After a moment of thinking, Mitsumi made a resolute face then said-

"Yes. I'll be in your care."

Hearing Mitsumi say that made Izumi very happy. A very joyous smile can be seen on his face. He then thought of hugging Mitsumi, but as soon as he was already near her, he stopped. He realized that he can't take do it right after Mitsumi got assaulted.

Realizing Izumi's hesitation, Mitsumi smiled.

"I-it's okay, you can do it.." she then muttered softly, her face turned red.

Izumi smiled after hearing her, then he hugged Mitsumi.

Thus, the two hugged each other with their faces red in the moonlight.
