"Lamb, what is the tale of the Winter?" the Wolf asked the Lamb.
The Lamb looked at the wolf, and set its bow down. "Lots of summers ago, the Spirit of the Winter, daughter of The Frostbringer, made a deal the the Verhea, a tribe of cryomancers in Freljord." it said with its soft voice.
"What was the deal?" the Wolf questioned.
"The deal was quite a simple one. One of the tribesmen would share his body with the spirit, in exchange for the ability to manipulate the weather. The Verhean that the spirit possessed would also need to travel around the world in order to bring the winter to the other areas." the Lamb answered. "As a gift for this deal, Orn and Volibear, the great gods forged a runestone that allowed the Winter to gather even more strength. Many summers passed after that deal and both sides kept their parts. Then, not long after Ivern's conquest, with the guidance of the Embodiment of the Winter, the Verhea crossed the continents and arrived in Ionia. There they settled in the snowy forests of the island, in Shon-Xan. They preferred not to cross-breed with the vastaya, as they believed in an old prophecy that a tainted winter would bring their end."
"Then?" the Wolf prompted the Lamb to continue.
"Then...more years passed and many winters came...and for the first time, a half vastaya offspring came, from the very own son of the Warmother's son. The young boy looked almost like them, with the exception of fangs, furry patches on its back, feline eyes and fox markings on its face."
"And then?" the Wolf questioned?
"As the years passed, the boy turned into a man. He feared that the prophecy would come true, so he left the tribe and ventured the lands of Ionia. Then, Noxus, a kingdom in the main land planned to attack the island. The great leaders plan was to first take care of the Winter, and then attack. Thus, he asked the help of a witch." the Lamb continued.
"And what did this witch do?" the Wolf seemed interested.
"The witch, using her cursed mirror found that that if the spirit is left without a host, all the world will be engulfed in ice and snow. Thus she planned to kill all Verhea...but one...the Warmother's grandson, the tainted one." the Lamb kept speaking.
"And this was it?" the Wolf asked.
"And this was it." the Lamb confirmed. "The soldiers came, they slaughtered them, forcing the young man to rush back home. The witch then captured him and sealed him in a Cave, taking the ice rune and dividing it in two. The war came, the war ended. For thirteen years it hasn't snowed. They boy was sealed in there, the spirit too, unable to help him. Its now been fourteen years. The Winter will now awaken from his slumber and Noxus will finally pay."
