"W-why did you kiss me?"
Timidly, I asked Winston, who was stunned in front; hands were in his pocket, eyes were rolled at the door, and he could not maintain his eye contact with me. It was the same as me, as I barely moved and looked into his eyes. I was afraid and timid to ask him a bunch of questions—the what-ifs and why's were on my head but couldn't let out from my mouth.
"T-that w-was too much," I added. I was too weak and could not handle such matters. I wanted to leave, but my feet were nailed to the floor. I could not move it. My heart also chose to stay in contradiction to what I was thinking.
"It wasn't, Mirabella. That was the truth that you needed to hear," replied Winston casually. It seemed he did not care about what he did. "Fate and I had chosen you, not Viola, remember that."
