"It seems you're feeling much better now. Wanna go to the park? I'll buy you some ice cream if you're still feeling uneasy" He said. "That sounds really nice but I can't skip school". "Oh come on sweetheart it's not like we're missing the whole day. Come on live a little." I nodded my head in agreement since I had already had a rough day and I deserved a break from all the chaos.
Elijah and I took his car to evergreen groove, the human park. Us werewolves didn't live with the humans as anything could happen so to ensure the safety of the humans and to also keep our existence we stayed in the woods. Once a wolf turns 18 they are allowed to leave the park and live here even though they will still be members of the pack. Teens who are 17 years and above are allowed to work part time jobs here but if the time comes for them to take their positions they were to stop working and focus on pack duties.
Elijah and I spent the whole day in the park, talking and getting to know each other better. Elijah's father had died and a heartbroken she wolf with no pack cannot raise a child so thus Alpha Cameron allowed them to join our pack and that's how he's here right now. One thing I noticed about Elijah is that he doesn't look at me with any sort of disgust in his eyes. He looked at me admirably and that made me feel some kind of way. Almost as I had butterflies in my stomach. It felt amazing. Spending time with him felts wonderful and I didn't want the day to end 'cause I was having the time of my life. I've never really had 'friends'. Even though my cousin Jasmine was always there for me but ever since she found her mate and they moved away I've been lonely. So it felt nice to have someone to talk to you. We conversed till 8pm when I remembered that I was still out and hadn't told my parents where I was. I told him then he sent me back but not with some carpool karoake. Every minute with him felt like magic but that magic was about to run out. I moment I opened our door my eyes met with my mother's. She was a while wolf and was I so you can imagine the amount of power behind a single glare of hers. She didn't say anything as she dragged me to the living room and asked all the maids to leave and so they did. No one wanted any trouble with the Beta's wife let alone a white wolf.
She ever so gently asked me " Is he why you skipped school today?" she asked. "How did you know that I skipped school today?" I countered. "You're their future Beta of course they keep an eye on you. Now tell is he reason?" she asked once more. "Yes mother" "Leora you have to start taking your education seriously you're going to be serving right under the alpha" "I know mother and I'm very sorry it won't happen again." "I know it won't, but tell me does he make you happy?" she said. "I just met him today mother" "That still doesn't answer my question Leo, does he make you happy?" "Yes mother very much and Rain also seems to like him." I said. "Then that's all that matters my baby. I wonder if he's your mate." "I doubt that, there's no way someone as him would be tied down to me." I said. And so with that left for my room.
