Annah studied the side of his face and saw how he said it with conviction and earnestness.
"Don't be like your father then. I know you'd be different. A lot of us on the campus look up to you as our next leader." She said that he turned to her. Their faces are close to each other. He reciprocated the smile across her face before he did the unthinkable. At least for Annah. But for him, he'd been wanting it. He kissed her.
It was only a peck on the lips but Annah recoiled a little from him.
"I didn't say that for you to kiss me."
He smirked at her. "The moment calls for it."
"No. You ruin the moment. And quit playing your tricks on me. I won't fall for it." She said and went to continue reading in silence.
His chest vibrated at the small of her back and had his head leaned over his shoulder.
"Stop laughing. You have the assignment to do here." She said.
"I don't feel like doing it anymore. You do it."
