Just as Emma Tremont was fretting, a large hand reached over, directly snatched the phone from her, swiftly and decisively.
"Hello, this is Declan Darcy, Emma's boyfriend."
Emma... was stunned.
All she heard was Declan Darcy talking non-stop, handling it smoothly.
"Yes, I'm from the Darcys, the one you're referring to is my father."
"Emmy and I are together right now, she's feeling a bit under the weather, so she's resting at my place."
"Rest assured, I'll send her home first thing in the morning."
Having ended the call, Declan Darcy returned the phone to her. "Sorted."
Emma stared at him, flabbergasted.
Declan Darcy tossed a towel onto the sofa, heading straight for the walk-in closet.
Usually, he was comfortable sleeping naked alone. But now... with Emma around, he decided to put on some sleepwear.
