Aurora Dupont turned decisively and looked at Kai Piers, whispering, "Let's go."
"Okay." Kai Piers nodded, "If you want to stay here longer, I'll stay with you."
"No need, let's go." Aurora said, "I'll come back to visit dad when I have time."
"Okay."
Kai Piers held an umbrella and put his arm around Aurora's shoulders, hugging her to protect her from the rain.

As they were getting in the car, the rain suddenly started pouring down heavily.
Aurora sat in the passenger seat and said softly, "Kai Piers, I want to go home to the Dupont house."
"Aren't we going back to... the apartment together?"
"Not right now." Aurora said, "I left some important things at home, I need to go get them."
"Okay."
Aurora nodded and then smiled at Kai Piers.
