John Fame was taken aback. He didn't expect Lissy Lock to come out and say it like this.
He coughed, "You're really getting unbearable."
"I'm just telling the truth." Lissy winked, "If I say some other guy is handsome, you'd be upset, wouldn't you?"
"Why should you look at other guys?"
"For the pleasure of the eyes!"
John Fame reached out to give her a playful knock, but Lissy Lock dodged away, laughing.
"Alright, let's stop fooling around." Lissy said, "Grandpa...is all right, isn't he?"
"There's no major problem at the moment; he just needs to rest and recover."
Lissy nodded.
John knew what she was thinking and didn't press her further.
Whatever was between her and grandpa, she needed to come to terms with it by herself slowly, step by step. Forcing her to forgive was not the answer at all.
John's only hope was that Lissy could let go sooner, even sooner.
Maybe then, the whole family will be in harmony; how great that would be.
