"Riley, Dylan Dupont is dead. Now...there's nobody to save us anymore, no one..."
Kai Piers stepped out briskly, his footsteps not ceasing.
The Dupont Family home behind him seemed so helpless, since it had lost its owner.
Kai Piers opened the car door, not getting in. Instead, he took out a cigarette and began to smoke.
He kept his head low, taking deep hits in silence.
Before long, his adam's apple bobbed, letting out a low sobbing sound.
Tears slowly welled up in Kai Piers's eyes.
He took two more harsh drags of his cigarette, creating clouds of smoke, then he discarded the cigarette butt, quickly got into the car, and left.
The night was still very long, very long...
The next day, as usual, the sun rose, still so vibrant.
The weather forecast showed that the weather would be very clear for the next few days, unlike the continuous rainy weather during the plum rain season.
It was rather rare to have such good weather.
