Aurora Dupont was beating him without ceasing, and her feet were kicking in the air, but none of it made a difference.
Originally, Aurora Dupont wanted to call for help, to seek assistance from passersby, but at this point, she found herself unable to cry out for help.
She disliked having others pity her.
Kai Piers simply shouldered her into the elevator. The whole time Aurora did not stop struggling even when they took the elevator upstairs.
Kai Piers opened the door to the room with Aurora still upon his shoulder. Only after he hooked the door closed with his foot did he set Aurora down.
Aurora's face was flushed to a bright red, her breaths heaving from the effort of continuous struggle, which zapped a lot of her strength.
But Kai Piers, who had carried her up, did not even break a sweat, his face calm as he watched her.
"Aurora Dupont, I think it's about time. At least for tonight, I won't let you go," Kai Piers said. "Stay here and I won't harm you."
