"Let's deal with Ava Gibson's matter after breakfast," John Fame said, "Understood?"
Lissy Lock made a face: "Oh, got it."
Ava returned to the living room and sat upright. The servant brought fruits and desserts, but she just glanced at them and remained silent.
Lissy ate breakfast with John and then walked out of the dining room to drive him to his office.
Standing at the villa's entrance, in usual fashion, she gave John a peck: "Okay, off you go to work, have a smooth journey."
John shot her a glance: "Don't promise things you can't deliver. That'll only cause trouble for yourself, understood?"
"Got it!" Lissy pushed him, "What could I possibly promise Ava? She's not the type to come running at the slightest issue. I know my limits."
"You're just too soft-hearted."
"And you're just hard-hearted," Lissy responded.
John raised an eyebrow: "What did you say?"
"Okay, okay, go to work, stop dallying, or you'll be late."
