Then he turned to look at Lissy Lock who waved at him, "It's perfect timing. Aurora was just about to go home, and you showed up."
With that, Lissy gently pushed Aurora. Matteo Quirke noticed this subtle motion but said nothing, taking Aurora's hand naturally, "Let's go, I'll take you home."
Aurora nodded.
Kai Piers came over, witnessing this scene, but did not intervene. He folded his arms and said, "Aurora, even if you hitch a ride with Matteo Quirke, you still have to return to the Dupont Family. Are you going back with me, or should I wait for you at home, or will you be waiting for me there?"
Matteo's eyes flickered slightly.
Aurora spoke before him: "I'm afraid I'll have to disappoint you, Kai Piers. I'm not returning to the Dupont family tonight."
Kai Piers was taken aback at her declaration, and Lissy was equally surprised.
Matteo chuckled, "Yes, Aurora is going home with me tonight."
