John Fame knitted his brows tightly, blurting, "Why?"
"'Why', you're asking me why? You want me to believe you would really come here alone? Impossible! You've probably set a trap!"
"Josiah Baker! I came here for her exchange! How dare you deceive me?"
"I don't trust you, John Fame. But don't worry, Lissy Lock is fine, she doesn't cry or make a fuss, very calm. Who would've guessed, your woman is so composed."
John Fame warned in a stern voice, "You'd better not harm her."
"Relax, I won't. But such a beautiful woman, always tempting men. I can't guarantee what others might do. Oh yes…...the wound on her forehead, pitiful thing, no doctor to stitch it up. It will leave a rather large scar, likely to be very ugly."
"Josiah Baker, don't push me!"
"I want to see my son!" Josiah Baker demanded, "Ensure my son is safe, and I will immediately arrange for her wounds to be stitched up!"
John Fame left hurriedly with his phone, leaving everyone behind.
