He put his hand on his forehead and was shocked to find it burning hot. It seemed he had a fever.
Just then, Zack Shaw knocked on the door: "Mr. Fame."
"Come in," John Fame said. He stood up and walked to his desk drawer, pulling out some pills and swallowed them with water.
Zack collected and reported on all the morning's work. John listened with his head down, occasionally giving noncommittal hums, punctuated by bouts of coughing.
Zack finally couldn't bear to watch any longer. He repeated, "Mr. Fame, I think you should go to the hospital. Or...go home and let your family doctor give you an injection or some fluids."
John did not respond, his coughing ply continued as he signed some documents on his desk.
"Mr. Fame, work is important, yes. But you can't work yourself to death... If you fall ill, our company will be like a dragon without its head..."
