"Mr. Fame, it might not be appropriate to have Miss Turner stay in the last guest room... It has poor lighting, it's rather damp, and furthermore..."
"When did you become so talkative?"
The butler immediately quieted down, "Yes, Mr. Fame, I'll get on it right away."
With the butler gone, only the servants stood on one side of the dining room, awaiting John Fame's orders.
He stared at the hot milk for a while before he picked it up and slowly drank, leisurely starting his breakfast.
The daily newspapers were laid not far away. John occasionally flipped through them, skimming through each page at a fast pace.
When he finished eating, the butler returned, "Mr. Fame, Assistant Shaw said that everything has been taken care of. Are you driving yourself or should I prepare a car?"
"Have the car ready, I'll go over in a while."
"Yes, Mr. Fame."
John Fame pushed back his chair and got up, glancing outside.
"What a shame... It's such a beautiful day."
