Lissy Lock stood up in anger, meeting John Fame's gaze without flinching, "I want equality, absolute freedom. I want someone to love me sincerely, instead of calculating and hurting me time and again. I'm tired of living this miserable life!"
"I can give that to you!"
"But I don't want what you have to offer anymore!"
With a swift swipe, John Fame knocked all the items off the dining table onto the floor, shattering them.
"You're just taking advantage of my tolerance!"
"I'm not." Lissy Lock casually replied, "Ever since I came to your side, I've been like this. I haven't changed. I don't cater to you."
John Fame stared at her for a while and finally softened his tone, "I want to tolerate you for the rest of my life, Lissy Lock. Let go of the past, start afresh with me. You'll get everything you used to want."
After listening to him, a radiant smile spread across Lissy Lock's face.
She had now truly experienced what it meant to be "loved".
