Charlotte completely ignored him, took a step away and said, "She is free, she can go wherever she wants. She's not the Emmy who used to revolve around you anymore. Does she need your permission?"
"Is she... with Declan Darcy?"
Charlotte paused mid-step and laughed suddenly, "Yes, Aspen, do you know about it too? I thought once you broke up, you'd stop concerning yourself with Emma."
"I know this man," Aspen replied, "Why would Emma associate with him?"
"Of course you know Declan Darcy! You economics students see him as a role model, don't you? I think he's even referenced in your textbooks,"
Charlotte delivered these words with a distinct air of arrogance.
Her expression insinuated, at this moment, that the distance between Declan Darcy, Emma's boyfriend, and Aspen was apparent.
A hundred Aspen's couldn't measure up to one Declan Darcy.
