Tears fell like dislodged beads, cascading down her face. Lissy Lock didn't utter a sound, and the bedroom was eerily silent.
After John Fame had closed the door, he turned and glanced back, his expression solemn.
He lowered his eyes slightly, stood for a moment, then strode towards his study.
Everything fell into silence.
But Lissy Lock and John Fame were very clear, something was quietly changing between them, gradually becoming different.
The next morning.
Lissy Lock, as usual, exchanged greetings with John Fame and had breakfast together. But there was no more excessive interaction between them.
She finished the last sip of milk in her cup, got up and took her bag, her silhouette cool and collected.
John Fame also got up, ready to go to the company.
As Lissy Lock walked out of Lema City villa, she immediately saw Assistant Shaw.
"Good morning, Assistant Shaw," Lissy Lock greeted with a smile. "See you at the office. Bye."
