"Aurora, you've lost weight," Kai Piers observed, his voice brimming with concern. "Your chin has become pointier, I can tell."
Aurora leaned in closer, her soft hair cascading onto his shoulder. "Really? But isn't a slim face more fashionable? So, wouldn't it make me look a bit more attractive?"
"It's better when you're well-fed," Kai insisted, "When I get the chance, I'm going to make sure you're plump and rosy."
Teasing, she responded, "I feel like you're fattening me up for slaughter. Kai, I'm holding you to your word. If you don't help me put on some weight, what then?"
A gentle smile appeared on his face. "Fine, look forward to it."
The couple continued to talk this way, just like any normal pair.
Whenever she had free time, Aurora would visit and carry on casual conversations with Kai, jumping from one topic to another.
About the will and the letter, she kept silent.
She was going to settle the score once Kai was fully recovered.
