Her fingertips touched his chest lightly through his shirt, and she looked at him with innocent eyes. Her light trembling eyelashes, and unspoken intentions, were loud and clear.
However, John Fame suddenly grasped her hand tightly in his palm, looking down at her, "When did you come back?"
"Today."

"I came straight to you as soon as I got off the plane. Caspian Darcy took my luggage to the Turners first." Skye explained slowly, "Because I desperately wanted to see you."
John Fame's expression softened slightly, in a way that was neither affectionate nor indifferent, "Why didn't you discuss your return from Paris with me?"
"Because I wanted to surprise you!"
