Aurora Dupont replied, "Ever since what happened last night, I've been pondering whether our son really needs to come back home. After all, he's your son, but he's also the son that I've carried in my womb for nine months!".
Kai Piers's forehead throbbed, "So you have been thinking about this!".
"But then I dismissed that thought. He has never seen his father, and he's always asking me, 'Mom, who is Dad?' I don't want him to lack a father's love! But in a marriage and family like this, are you sure our son can grow up healthy?".
"Our issues won't affect our son. Because ..." Kai spoke firmly, "We won't divorce, and we certainly won't fight in front of our son!".
"So we should go on living in constant fights and coldness?"
"Yes! Even if we torment each other for a lifetime, it's better than letting you wander to the ends of the earth!".
Aurora watched him, stood still for a while, then turned and started walking.
