Charles held Lissy Lock's hand and smiled, "Miss Lock, you are a very interesting person, and quite charming when you're working. I admire you very, very much."
Having said that, Charles let go of her hand.
Lissy Lock quickly withdrew her hand and smiled: "Mr. Charles, thank you for the compliment."
Perhaps this was a foreigner's etiquette, Lock thought, without feeling anything off.
Charles continued: "I wonder if I would have the honor to invite Miss Lock for lunch?"
Lissy Lock nodded: "Sure. But how can I let Mr. Charles pay? You've traveled all the way from France. You are the guest and I am the host. I'll treat you to lunch."
"Miss Lock, you're very straightforward."
Lissy Lock glanced at everyone in the meeting room and smiled: "Let's all have lunch together today, to celebrate our...pleasant collaboration."
Charles looked at Lissy Lock, his blue eyes filled with laughter.
This woman...she was really charming and attractive.
