"It's a shame, I didn't know it was you who made breakfast then." Aurora said, "Thinking about it now, I've finally realized it."
Kai Piers turned around from the kitchen counter and asked, "If you knew then that the simple breakfast was personally made by me, would you have stayed to eat it?"
"Do you want the truth or a lie?"
"The truth, Aurora."
"No." Aurora said, "Given the circumstances then, I wouldn't have stayed. Even if I think back now after all this time, I wouldn't have stayed."
Kai Piers lightly responded, "Hmm."
Because there was some distance between the dining table and the kitchen, Aurora didn't really hear him.
