Aurora Dupont kept shaking her head: "I have nothing left, Lissy Lock, nothing at all... Dad is gone, mom left me far too early, and now I'm all alone..."
Lissy Lock tried hard to hold back her tears: "Let's go in. Didn't you want to see Uncle Dupont? He's inside."
Aurora Dupont steeled herself before she continued walking forward.
Inside the funeral hall, right in the center, a coffin was placed.
At first glance of the coffin, Aurora's legs gave out.
Thankfully, Lissy Lock reacted in time to catch her.
Aurora pulled her hand away from Lissy: "I'm okay, I can walk by myself."
Lissy Lock slowly let go. Aurora, step by step, gradually made her way to the coffin.
She kneeled in front of the coffin, head down, her long hair hanging down covering her face.
Lissy Lock watched Aurora, turned her head aside, and discreetly wiped her tears.
But surprisingly, Aurora didn't cry this time.
Perhaps, she had already wept all her tears yesterday?
So, no tears were left for today.
