"No," Aurora Dupont said, "We're just discussing some matters."
Just as Riley Dupont was about to speak, Aurora lowered her voice and said, "Riley, if this gets to father, no one will end well. Consider father's health and also, Kai Piers. Do you still want to marry him smoothly?"
Riley Dupont ignored her and just rolled her eyes.
Aurora had already spoken, it was up to Riley Dupont to decide what to do.
"Dad," Riley started, "Aurora and I... we're okay, there's nothing wrong."
Father Dupont nodded, "That's good. Sisters should get along."
Harper Wood chimed in, "Yes, we're all a family. Look, Aurora was the bridesmaid at Riley's wedding."
Aurora sighed with relief, "Dad, I'll see Matteo out. You guys can talk."
She quickly dragged Matteo out, and as they passed Riley, Matteo glanced at her warily.
Riley was not intimidated and glared back. However, upon meeting Matteo's gaze, she flinched and her momentum immediately dwindled.
