Kai Piers's hand suddenly tightens, gripping her chin, his eyes full of disgust.
"Woman, why are you so vicious-minded?"
"Indeed, I am vicious," Riley Dupont nods, "Aurora Dupont is just a saint, the holy virgin. As noble as she is, so vile am I. Isn't that how I appear in your mind?"
"No matter what you say, Riley, Aurora is still your sister."
"Aurora, Aurora, you sound so affectionate, Kai Piers. So what if she's my sister? I will make sure that Aurora will never have you in this life!"
Kai Piers withdraws his hand, not even wanting to glance at her anymore.
Riley Dupont continues, "I heard that Matteo Quirke is back in the country. These days, my sister Aurora has been hanging out with Matteo. She hasn't been home for several days. They haven't even started dating. What do you make of it, Kai Piers, this angelic Aurora who spends nights with Matteo?"
