Oliver Winslow still seemed somewhat angry, a flicker of resentment flashing through his eyes.
After considering for a bit, Lissy Lock said, "Oliver Winslow, today is New Year's Eve."
Upon hearing her voice, Oliver paused as it'd been several days since she'd voluntarily spoken to him.
"Yes," he nodded in agreement, "we'll be able to welcome in the new year tonight."
"You shouldn't be here, in the hospital, with me during the New Year."
Oliver wrinkled his brow, "Are you trying to send me away again?"
"New Year should be spent with family. Unlike me, I'm an orphan," Lissy spoke, "all these years, I celebrated alone. But Oliver, you're different, you have a family. You shouldn't be in this cold, sterile hospital with me."
Oliver stared at her, unflinching: "This year, I want to be with the one I love."
Lissy shook her head, "Even if you do this, I won't be grateful. You should go."
