As Aurora was speaking, she wobbled to her feet and said triumphantly, "You see."
Kai shook his head, "I think I'd better carry you to the bathroom."
"No!" Aurora refused, quickly swatting his hand away. "I can walk, just watch."
She took precarious steps towards the bathroom, her movements making Kai feel tense as he watched from behind, worried she might fall over.
Yet despite her shaky gait and light footsteps, Aurora managed to enter the bathroom and securely shut the door behind her.
Kai sighed with relief, slowly sinking into the couch.
Aurora didn't just get drunk tonight; she seemed to lose her mind.
But... all this was not unwelcome.
The long night was all theirs.
Kai thought that as long as he left before Aurora woke up the next morning, there should be no issues.
It wasn't that he was taking advantage of her vulnerability. It was just that this Aurora was so irresistible, he had no power to resist her.
