Kai Piers said with a grin, "No, John Fame, something's not right here. Lissy Lock went out for a month and came back carrying your child. Aren't you afraid of being a father?"
John Fame gave a very serious answer: "The child is six weeks old, exactly when she left."
Kai Piers handed him a cigarette: "But.....is Lissy willingly bearing and giving birth to the baby?"
"Yes."
Kai Piers was a little confused: "You said you had no choice, but Lissy is willing to carry your baby, what more do you want? It's better to honestly coax her well, that's the important thing."
"If it was voluntary for her, we wouldn't be at such a stalemate now..."
John Fame's voice was soft and low as he muttered to himself, it was hard to hear what he was saying.
"What did you say?"
"Nothing." John Fame lit a cigarette, but held it at his fingertips. He watched the drifting smoke with a gloomy expression, lost in thought.
