Lissy Lock was held tightly in his arms, feeling his warmth, yet her own body couldn't shake the chill.
What on earth was his motive and how deep did his scheming go!
John Fame, despite her punches and kicks, replied somberly, "I didn't want to deceive you, Lissy. Heaven knows... after listening to the recording, my heart ached tremendously."
"You liar, you're a deceiver, John Fame..." She forcefully pushed against his shoulders, using both her hands and feet.
John Fame wanted to say something more, but seeing her so agitated, he chose to hold her until her emotions stabilized.
"Yes, yes, yes, I am a liar." John Fame lowered his head, agreeing with her, only to see her eyes welling up with tears, causing his heart to race, "Why... why are you crying?"
"I'm not!"
Lissy Lock gave him a hefty punch and turned her face away.
John Fame gave a sigh, intentionally saying, "When you stop crying, I'll explain then."
