Lissy Lock pressed hard over her heart, lost in thoughts when a voice sounded from above her head.
"What are you thinking about with your head down?"
Upon hearing John Fame's voice, she finally felt a little reassured.
With John around, she felt somewhat safe.
"No... nothing." she quickly glanced at John and replied, "I'm just looking for a quiet moment alone."
After she finished speaking, she couldn't help but move a bit closer to John. The sensation of being tightly watched only started to dissipate then.
John, however, slowly furrowed his brows: "Why are you so pale?"
As he spoke, he reached out his hand to feel her forehead.
Lissy didn't avoid him and just let out a long sigh.
This scene was observed from a distance by Walter Smith.
He withdrew his gaze, masked the turbulent emotions in his eyes, lowered his head, and quietly left the venue.
Just as quietly as he had come.
"I'm fine," Lissy said, "I'm just a bit tired and want to go home to rest."
