The two fell silent again.
She was emotionally dead, unable to love again, too afraid to fall for John Fame once more.
Although she knew she had no control over her feelings.
But she could forget.
How could she once again love someone who had wounded her thoroughly, inside and out?
There was only silence, their words unspoken.
"...So silence, that's your answer?" John's voice resounded from behind, "Lissy Lock, don't you know that sometimes, all you need to do is to submit to me, even just for a second."
All he needed was her submission, then some things... could actually be resolved pretty smoothly.
Lissy took a deep breath, composed herself, and without hesitation, she asserted, "John, for the past year, the only connection we had was our child."
