John Fame reached out expressionlessly to catch her.
Lissy Lock was somewhat dazed and stupefied by the collision.
She was just preparing to knock on the door when it suddenly opened. She lost her balance and fell forward, landing inexplicably in John Fame's arms.
"Lissy Lock," John Fame spoke dryly, "What brings you here?"
"I came to see you, but... I was just about to knock, and then... ended up like this."
Speaking, she stood up from his embrace. They were still at the company, and this position was a bit indecent.
John Fame withdrew his hand: "What do you want from me?"
"No... Ah! Yes!"
John Fame gave her a puzzled look: "If it's important, we'll have to discuss it when I get back."
Hearing his words, Lissy Lock was a little taken aback.
John Fame had been in his office all morning without stepping out, so why was he suddenly saying he would leave?
