What gives?
With this in mind, Lissy Lock no longer felt as guilty. She braced herself. That's right, so John Fame can stir up trouble, but she can't even light a candle?
Lissy Lock picked up the phone and put it to her ear: "Hello... John Fame."
"Where are you?"
John's voice was still leisurely, deep and low, full of a unique charisma.
"I'm outside." Lissy Lock said, "What's up?"
"Come home. Now."
Lissy Lock had originally planned to return home, but his tone made her somewhat annoyed: "I'm still busy, I'm not going back."
"Who are you with? What are you doing?" John asked sharply.
Lissy Lock paused for a moment, her eyes shifting: "I...I'm not with anyone, I'm alone, shopping, using your card. Oh yes, I'm about to max it out."
John paused, unable to hide a hint of subtle confidence and triumph in his voice: "My card has never been maxed out."
Lissy Lock rolled her eyes silently.
"Then I'll wait until it's maxed out before I go home."
