"Did you see what you caused? Huh? Did you see what happened just now?"
The man's eyes were red, and his face void of any sort of calmness. Drake had no choice but to jump up. The first thing that came to his mind was keeping Chloe safe, then after that he would think about himself.
"I'm sorry bro, but my girlfriend had to do that. I didn't know she couldn't contain her emotions that much. I'm really sorry. I promise that she wouldn't do that again."
The man halted behind him, glaring. Drake was waiting for the fellow to break the long stare but it went on for quite a while.
"Are you even listening to yourself?"
The man found his voice finally.
"Huh?"
That was the only reasonable response Drake could think of. It was more of a filler than a response. It was better than not do anything to show how confused he was.
