"A blind old man along Chestnut Hill."
"What!"
"Blind old man?!"
Drake himself would had exclaimed if the girls hadn't done it on his behalf. It was shocking what Mr Hao had just said to them.
"A blind old man? What are you talking about?"
It was natural for Drake to cast off the robe of rage he had worn and shown off to the man.
"I don't know much about him also."
"Really?"
"How could you say that?"
Again, the girls stole the chance from Drake. But he didn't seem to be bothered by how swift their tongues were. He was processing something.
"I thought you were smart, Mr Hao. How could you work for someone whom you don't know anything about?!"
"He said 'much'..."
Esme corrected. Drake glanced at her then looked back at the interesting man.
"Aren't you going to say something?"
Drake was eager to hear the side of the man's story, but he could tell that Mr Hao was reluctant.
