"Caidine..."
He called her again. This time he didn't move close to her. A part of him wanted him to leave her for a while, allow her to process the whole new thing. He knew it would be too much for her, but he couldn't help himself either. Though it was selfish to had shared it with her immediately, but he didn't seem to care about that.
The other part of him wanted him to hold her. To make sure that he understood how she was feeling at that moment. But too bad he couldn't give life to either of the two parts. He became the subject of both forces, being struggled with.
"Mason..."
He heard her call again. That would be like the hundredth time she would be saying that name.
She looked again away from the corpse to Drake. Drake moved his head. It seemed as though words eluded him as well. He was having hard time choosing his words.
When next she looked back at the corpse, he watched as her eyes began to shut.
"Caidine."
