"Darren is leaving us to do all the work?"
"That's not fair," Van said, his voice filled with anger.
"You should work on this with us," Ronan said.
"I'm sorry. I have to leave. But I'll be back in a minute."
"Fine. Make sure you bring back something else good, "he said. People who were there saw Darren leave. For a moment, Hale patted his friends on the shoulder and told them that everything would be fine even if one of them left.
Hale and the others knew they had to keep going while waiting for Darren to return. They are sure that it will happen.
They focused on making jewellery, a craft that takes time to create something unique and beautiful. They worked late into the night in the space that Darren had given them to perfect their designs.
