Chapter 105 - The defensive position
Her eyes sparkled as if she had discovered something unique, and she never took her eyes off the immense creature. Van told her to climb onto G's back. At first, she was afraid because a creature as giant and sharp-toothed could swallow it.
Van climbed over G's body and reached his hand to support him. She looked doubtful, but she finally agreed to follow suit, thanks to Darren's encouragement. G positioned himself so that she could easily climb on him.
The tiny footsteps reminded him of the first time Van had climbed onto his ridge after meeting and getting to know each other. He ordered G not to fly into the air because it might scare him even more.
Van gripped the child, and she was still trying to pull on the scales for a grip.
