The Rocanid didn't acknowledge the display of power as it continued its charge. I knew that I had to disarm it. Taking its tail off was the only way to begin an actual assault.
I prepared for the imminent clash. Just a split second before the creature would have snagged me in its pincers, I rolled to the side and spewed flames onto its tail, hoping to burn through it. To my dismay, nothing happened. The flames seemed to go right around the tail, not even leaving a scorch mark.
'What part of "one of my creations" do you not understand? Did you really think flames as weak as that would be able to effect the greatest part of its armor?' Impyranon questioned me.
'I am inspecting the creature. It isn't like I know these things.'
'I am only remembering facts as we encounter them. I can't give you any premeditated information.'
