Take your pick from the worst ideas of what this creature could look like and throw them away because it couldn't compare. I was thinking werewolf, and you probably were too. You probably thought about a monstrous humanoid wolf thing, or perhaps a giant evil hungry wolf. No. This was so much more worse and different.
Imagine a Zombie that put off a grotesque green fume from several very swollen pus dripping sores. Then take that and make it very muscular. Then imagine giving it mange covered dog features. Then make that creature three and a half meters tall and wicked fast. Finally, make those fumes corrosive. This is what an Elnorwolf consisted of. Yeah... Absolutely terrible...
To say the least, we were shaking in our boots with fear. We settled in back to back in a four point square. Our weapons bared and ready for the fight for our lives. The Elnorwolf was hunting and we were the prey.
"Don't let it claw you too deep and especially don't let it bite you. You'll be cursed to roam the forests eternally as an Elnorwolf." Josiah stated informative as before, "The eternity is the product of being part cursed wolf."
Soon we heard the rustling of foliage racing past us in the perimeter around. It was sizing up its prey. We became even more strained as we prepared for it's attack.
Suddenly without a good warning, the massive creature loped out of the trees and stared at us menacingly. It circled us slowly until it was directly in front of Bruhom. It lunged in, but thankfully, Bruhom was ready. He launched a punch with Earth shattering force straight at the beast's shoulder. The creature railed back with a stark lament of shock and pain as its shoulder had been knocked out of place. Growling, it looked at Bruhom with intense anger. It slowly reached to grab its dislocated shoulder and snatched it back into place without even a wimper. It then launched in again this time feigning a left handed strike, coming in with a right handed strike, but Bruhom wasn't completely stupid. The brute grabbed the creature's forearm and then sent into it's gut a sharp jab with the pummel of his blade into its gut. The wolf thing buckled and Bruhom kicked the creature's hip before swinging his heavy blade down onto its back.
That was a mistake. The beast got exactly what it wanted. Bruhom had been separated from us and it rolled forward to avoid the strike. It promptly grabbed Bruhom by the back of his neck guard and lifted him up. It opened its massive infectious jaws with full intention of relieving him of his head. That was however stopped by a sudden blast of a ball made of electricity that unraveled into a blanket, covering its entire backside. The beast convulsed before throwing Bruhom into the trees. From the sound of the crash, I wasn't convinced that the brute was going to easily come out of the woods anytime soon. He was probably knocked out.
The Elnorwolf swiftly recovered and spun to stare at us three. It didn't know which of us was the culprit but it lunged at Sehaela who promptly blasted a gust straight down as she jumped. She flipped through the air to land behind the creature, but the beast had impeccable reflexes. It backhand slapped Sehaela in her face which sent her sprawling onto the forest floor. She tried to pick herself up, but she was too dazed and disoriented to move.
The beast managed to grin as it turned towards Josiah and me. We both gulped in fear. The creature softly walked towards us. Then it happened. Josiah and I both stood up straight as if we'd been petrified. I noticed my arm start to be covered in flames. I instantly thought, 'Here we go again.' I was swiftly covered yet again by that demonic fiery abomination. The demon stopped however to look over at Josiah who'd also transformed into the lightning beast from his acclamation. The two beings looked at each other with confusion, or so it seemed, but the Elnorwolf made certain to remind them of its presence as it managed to gain the courage to try to strike the fiery demon.
The Elnorwolf realized quickly that its decision was terrible as it reeled back in anguish. The flames on its hand suddenly extinguished as if its body wasn't going to allow it to be destroyed. That's when it dawned on me. Cursed to roam the forests eternally... That means it couldn't die. We were essentially fighting an immortal being.
That however wasn't going to effect the Elnorwolf's decisions. It came in again hot, but that was futile. Both abominations grabbed the beast and lifted it up. The poor thing was being perpetually shocked and burned and was howling in agony. The abominations soon realized that their efforts were in vain, because every injury inflicted healed just seconds after it was applied. They chose to drop the beast.
It fell onto all four limbs and stayed there momentarily as its wounds healed. It suddenly then took off into the trees, running in fear from what it had just endured.
The abominations turned towards each other and looked at each other again in confusion, but that was only for a moment before Bruhom stumbled from out of the trees, groggily holding his head. As soon as his eyes fully adjusted, he then yelled in shock, "WHAT IN THE FUCKING HELL!!!" He immediately drew his sword in preparation for what he thought was going to be another battle, but apparently even the abominations had a little capacity of comradery and realized that Bruhom was an ally.
They then dissolved back into the humans that they apparently occupied. We both collapsed onto all fours, but Josiah fainted. I crawled on the ground, willing myself not to give in to the heavy body racking pulse of my burning blood through my veins, the blotches of black that beat my vision like a drum, and the embers that seemed to be rolling like rain drops through my muscles.
Bruhom got over his shock and quickly came running over to assess and make sense of what had happened. I looked up at him as my symptoms slowly abated. I was no where near up to strength, but I did manage to sit on my rear. He noticed that I seemed okay, so he moved to Sehaela. She was beginning to stir but was still dazed. She was going to be fine. Josiah was going to require a while to recover. Our horses were no where to be seen.
"Well that was fun." I managed to weakly say.
"You... and I... have totally different ideas... of fun." Sehaela stated as she shifted onto her knees.
Bruhom chuckled before reaching to scratch the back of his neck, but his eyes got wide. He pulled his hand back and looked at goop of red blood and green sludge. I instantly knew what had happened.
"Guys... I think we have a problem."
