It is always a bit awkward when someone says they have had a dream with you in it. It is literally another person seeing you do things you haven't done nor had any control over. Then there's so many other levels of what those dreams could be about. Did you fight? Did you die in the dream? Yeah that one is really disturbing.
As you remember, I just helped save a kid and his first interaction with me was to inform me that he'd had a dream with me in it. Now, what makes things even more disturbing about being told you were in someone's dream, is when you have never met this person in your life.
After the decimation of the Diagonsen estate, We took the survivors and brought them back to the Titanborn estate. The citizens within and around the estate opened their homes to help house the refugees.
As for myself and the others, now including the dreamer lightning kid named Josiah, we congregated in the main hall of my father's estate. Lady Diagonsen joined us due to Josiah being her son.
"So let's start with your awakening. What happened?" My father asked first.
"Well, I can't speak for his personal experience, but I can tell you that whatever over took him was a more powerful representation of what happened years ago at his acclamation. It was unlike anything I've ever seen."
"It felt like I was trapped inside of another being" Josiah sighed
"Hmmm..." My father began to think
"Father, the same happened to me. I remember my mom telling me about my acclamation and I've felt the same feeling when that demon thing over takes me."
"Clearly there is a connection between you two. In this way and unfortunately also by the fact it would seem you both have been targeted."
"You said you dreamed about me." I stated
"Yes, it's so strange seeing you now. I thought the dream was just a wild one, but I know better now." Josiah stated with an alarming charisma. He seemed to be very... peppy... now that he's had time to let the shock of everything die down, pun not intended.
'That personality is probably going to get annoying.'
"Tell us the details." My father stated with intense interest.
"Oh oh well... Let's see... It began very oddly... I saw these elemental... creatures... They were all bound in these... golden chains." Josiah began
"Describe the creatures." My father interrupted.
"Oh... umm... Well there was one for every element except for lightning. They were all in line. It was fire which looked like an evil impish thing. It was to my left. Then there was to my right a water one. It looked like this serpent like thing, very eerie..."
"Me, then him... next is water." I interrupted
"Exactly, but the water could be a moonshift's worth of travel away and where? We have no idea." My father stated, his eyes closed as he thought heavily.
"What are you two talking about? You, then me, then water?" Josiah asked enthusiastically.
"You didn't see a lightning creature in the dream, because you were the lightning creature in the dream. But you said you saw me... how?" I answered him before pondering on the matter.
"Well that's easy, that fiery imp thingy turned into you before disappearing."
"Yes, there's an order to it, I'm sure of it."
"We're still helpless without direction. We're dead in the water here." My father stated aggressively.
"Hahaha..." Josiah began to laugh before tapering off, "What?! He said dead in the water... Get it? No... Just me... ok..."
My father hmmphed in response before stating, "I think rest is our best next step. We're all exhausted still from yesterday's events. Take some time to get comfortable and well rested."
"Yes father." I nodded before heading to find Sehaela.
"Hey!... Hey Zionai!" I heard that kid calling after me.
'Oh no here we go. Little Mr. Sparky is going to be annoying.' I thought before slowly turning around.
"Yeah?" I responded trying not to sound annoyed but I think I failed.
"Can I tag along with you?" Josiah grinned happily after catching up to me.
I couldn't be mean to this kid. He did just lose everyone but his mom and his entire home. I did my best to sound genuine.
"Yeah I don't see why not."
"Hell yeah! So where... where ya headed?" He asked
"I'm going to see a friend. She's one of the only other two who survived the destruction of my home."
"Oh... damn... That's terrible... you lost literally everyone..." He stated which I could tell was supposed to sound sympathetic but it still had a... happy ambience to it.
"Yes... that's why we tried to come to your aid as soon as possible..."
"Right! Thank you again so much!" He beamed from ear to ear.
"You are quite the lively individual aren't you?" I said raising an eyebrow as we turned the final corner of the path to the dining hall where I assumed Sehaela would be considering I told her I'd meet her there for dinner.
"Well I suppose so... It's probably due to my element." He smiled
"Indeed." I said before realizing how unenthusiastic I sounded.
We then opened the doors to the dining hall. The servants were placing food down at the table in front of Sehaela and in two places in front of her.
"I figured he'd probably follow you." Sehaela smiled at me
"Thank you so much... ummm..." Josiah said not knowing her name
"Sehaela..." She grinned before gesturing us to have a seat.
We both sat in our respective places although I shifted my chair a little further away from sparky.
"You're very pretty!" Josiah complimented her
"Ummm... Thanks..." Sehaela blushed. I'd never seen her blush before. I didn't even think that would ever be possible.
"Ok... so..." I tried to redirect the conversation, "How was your day?"
"It was good enough. I taught myself another formation." Sehaela responded.
"That's good." I replied.
We continued to converse for a while longer. Josiah managed to annoy me more, of course, but I kept everything civil. We parted ways and went to our respective quarters.
I laid down in my bed and at first my thoughts ran too wild for me to sleep. Soon, however, my mind gave in.
I dreamed of short images of nothing important until suddenly one scene solidified. I was standing in a field. It was a dry wheat field to be exact. Everything seemed peaceful until I felt heat at my feet and flames began to engulf me. The field began to burn around me as the fiery demon covered me once more. Then everything went black...
"We're going to burn the world together..." I heard a sinister voice say inside my head.
