Earlier in the day when Daisy mentioned marriage, Roy's brain had turned off. It caught him completely off guard. Marriage?
He knew that Daisy liked him, that she wanted him but never would he have thought that she had her mind on marriage.
Roy had been with women in the past and his relationship with them would always be no strings attached. He would end things if they had ever come to grow feelings that made them too clingy.
But for some reason, even though Daisy showed signs of attachment, he didn't want to just end things with her.
