Since drowsiness hasn't visited them yet, they first ventilated on the rooftop and that's when Charlie got the timing again to share with Paula the conversation he had with his mother.
"My mom likes to invite you for dinner," he began while smiling.
It was as if something twitched in Paula's heart when Charlie said that. She admitted she felt a slight resentment with Charlie's mother but suddenly her feelings melted away because of what Charlie told her. She lifted her face and looked up at the notes gradually obscured by the clouds.
"Is it sure that she didn't hate me at all?" Paula wondered.
"She didn't even hate you from the start, Paula. So please, don't be sad anymore," Charlie sincerely replied as he held his girlfriend's hand.
"I understand it, Charlie," she grinned and hugged him. "Aren't you going back to your apartment? Why are you still here in my house?"
"It feels empty there," Charlie sighed.
"At least, when I'm here, I feel complete and recharged."
