Mrs. Santos was reassured when she secretly called Raymart and informed him of Clarize's perversions for her own benefit.
"Goldie, Clarize's mother is calling me right now," he said, sitting next to Marigold on the couch.
"Hello, Mrs. Santos? I heard Clarize is already recovered, right? Is there any problem?" Raymart asked politely, putting the phone on a loud speaker while Marigold remained beside him.
"Raymart, there is, and I'm the one begging for your forgiveness on behalf of my daughter's mistake," Mrs. Santos said, almost sobbing softly.
"I'm not sure what you're talking about; could you please clarify?" he asked politely on the other line.
"Raymart, I believe my daughter is to blame for the internet rumors— the reason why everyone thinks you're cheating on Clarize when, in fact, you already broke up with her before marrying somebody else," Mrs. Santos said, clearly struggling to get the words out of her mouth.
