"Hello, Charlie. I'm sorry to disturb you. But I just want to ask something about Paula."
Charlie was taken aback when Marigold called him just right now.
"Okay, what do you need to know about her?"
"I've heard that she resigned a few days ago. I want to know her exact reason? I know she doesn't have any troubles with her work, now I'm just wondering why she suddenly quit? The HR officer wants me to finish her tasks left with the company and I don't really agree with what the company wants me to do." Obviously, her tone was uneasy while she's speaking on the other line.
"I have an idea. Maybe I should relay this matter to Paula once I have a chance to talk to her. I don't have any idea if she's starting to look at the other company. Or maybe, she's just resting for a while," Charlie explained.
"Okay. I understand. I just want to know if she's doing well or not. But tell her that I called not to convince her back to work," Marigold quickly clarified.
