Even if they were still outside, Charlie and Paula can hear strange sounds inside the dorm she is renting, which sound like people yelling at each other.
"I think that's Liezel and her boyfriend, but I don't think they're just arguing," Paula said, shivering.
"Wait for me here, I'm going to check them inside first," Charlie said as he walked slowly and didn't knock on the door; he also borrowed Paula's spare key so he could enter. And he was shocked to see that Liezel was currently being abused by his boyfriend, Ace.
"Hey, hey! Stop that! Don't hurt someone weaker than you!" he yelled, pushing Ace away from Liezel.
"Hey, don't get in our way! You have no idea what we're fighting about! That woman is a whore!" Ace yelled.
"If so, does that give you the right to abuse her?" Charlie retorted. Ace's demeanor has already irritated him.
"You don't have the right to meddle in someone else's business!" Ace retorted angrily, punching Charlie.
